Join me in making a difference by providing vital mobility and support services to those in need
Hi, I’m Carlo Viola from Fazzari + Partners, and I’d like to bring your attention to A.D.A.P.T. (The Association of Differently Abled People Together), an organization that that is very close to my heart. Together and in need of both your support and mine.
This is a story about Differently Abled Canadians who either use wheelchairs or face challenges accessing mobility. Together, we can make a difference for those in need of mobility support.
A.D.A.P.T. is a registered charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for Differently Abled Canadians, including war veterans, seniors, children, and individuals with cognitive disabilities—many of whom do not receive adequate government support.
Why A.D.A.P.T. Needs Your Help:
- A.D.A.P.T. receives NO direct government funding. Despite its essential services, it’s viewed as a duplication of provincial and municipal services.
- A.D.A.P.T. bridges critical gaps that government services don’t address:
- Crosses municipal boundaries: Government-funded services can’t travel across regions, making it difficult for those needing access to specialized medical care in different cities.
- Door-to-door service: Unlike government programs, A.D.A.P.T. provides door-to-door pick-ups, making transportation much more accessible for people who would otherwise struggle to reach designated locations.
- Support beyond transportation: Volunteers provide counselling, advocacy, social activities, and assistance for caregivers—helping build a supportive community.
On October 6, 2024, I’ll be running a half marathon in Granby, Quebec, and I’m kindly asking for your support. Every donation helps us provide vital transportation and counselling services to those in need.
