Tony Gallippi

With an impressive career in the financial services industry that spans almost 30 years, Tony’s extensive knowledge encompasses investments and insurance, with experience ranging from time spent as an advisor early in his career to specialist roles, supporting Investment/Insurance advisors in the last 20 years.

In collaboration with client’s other advisors (including but not limited to CPA, Lawyers, Executors, Investment Advisors, business partners), Tony provides advanced sales support through objective industry education, in-depth case consultation leveraging advanced insurance sales strategies and industry trends to both, high net worth and small/medium size business owner clients.

 

Hemal Balsara

Hemal Balsara is the Assistant Vice President of Tax, Retirement and Estate Planning at Manulife Financial in Toronto. As a member of the Manulife Team, Hemal works closely with Manulife insurance advisors and other partners to support their (ultra) high net worth clients and deliver integrated insurance and tax planning solutions.

Hemal joined Manulife Financial in 2011 after spending six years in the tax area of a national accounting firm where he researched and analyzed complicated technical tax issues including various tax structuring and estate planning issues, planning for owner manager situations and various corporate and personal tax issues. In addition, prior to specializing in tax, Hemal spent two years in the audit practice.

Hemal has contributed to various publications including the Canadian Tax Highlights, PwC’s Wealth and Tax Matters, the Canadian Taxation of Life Insurance, and other tax related publications. He has also been a keynote speaker at various industry conferences including STEP Canada’s National Conference, the CALU AGM, CALU Associates, Manulife’s Elite Conference and so on.

Hemal received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and graduated with high distinction. He has also obtained his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Hemal is a member of the CPA Canada, CPA Ontario, the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Estate Planning Council of Toronto, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Family Enterprise Exchange.

 

Joe Figliomeni

Joe is a Partner in our Tax Group. He joined Fazzari + Partners LLP in 2014 and established himself as a valuable member of the team. He qualified for his CPA, CA designation in 2017 and transitioned to Partner in 2021. Joe completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course (Levels I, II and III) in 2019 and is currently pursuing a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Canada.

Joe is the lead on tax articles published by our firm to keep clients up to date on the latest tax issues and has also contributed to publications by the Canadian Tax Foundation. Joe has also participated as a panelist on various tax seminars including the Fazzari + Partners LLP annual tax update offered to CPA’s in our area and the City of Toronto Covid Stimulus Advisory Committee Accountant Panel.

Joe is a trusted advisor and has developed significant expertise in the field of taxation, with an emphasis on private enterprises.
